14-Day Tour Portugal and Andalusia from Madrid

Enjoy an unforgettable experience of 14 days, in which you will travel around the most emblematic places from Madrid, Portugal and Andalusia. Your trip will start in Madrid, where you will do a panoramic visit of the city to get to know the most emblematic buildings of Renaissance and Baroque style. Then, you will discover the religious monuments declared Human Heritage Sites of the Portuguese cities.

In Portugal you will go down the Duero’s river in a fantastic cruise and you will end up toasting with an exquisite glass of wine. Once you are back to Spain, you will visit the Arabs monuments from the Middle Ages. In addition, you can experience a Flamenco show, while you taste one of their typical dishes. Lastly, your trip will end in the place where everything started: Madrid.

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning Madrid panoramic city tour; find the medieval origins of the city, like the Arabic fortress, at the Barrio de la Morería, famous for its historical buildings. Drive through the courtesan district of the Hapsburgs characterized by Phillip II and its Renaissance and Baroque style buildings, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa; the Madrid of the Bourbons and the complex town planning schemes of Charles III, the Royal Palace, Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains and the Puerta de Alcalá. Admire the XIX C. works such as Prado Museum. The contemporary Madrid with areas such as Gran Vía, Castellana, the district of Salamanca and Parque del Oeste, as well as commercial and financial areas of Modern Madrid and the Santiago Bernabéu Football Stadium. Breakfast at the hotel. Panoramic sightseeing tour of Porto, considered World Heritage city. We admire the Cathedral, Stock Exchange building and Santa Clara church. Breakfast. Departure to Coimbra. City seat of one of the oldest universities in Europe and the birthplace of Fado. Free time. Then to Fatima. Center of the Christian Faith and World Pilgrimage Sanctuary with its impressive Basilica and the Cova da Iria, place where the Virgin Mary appeared. The Chapel of the Apparitions, heart of the sanctuary, with the tombs of the three shepherds, Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta. At night possibility to attend the procession of the candles. Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Batalha Monastery, a masterpiece of Gothic and Manueline style considered a World Heritage place by UNESCO. Continue to the picturesque fishing town of Nazaré. Free time and continue to Alcobaça (World Heritage) with its Gothic church and Cistercian monastery, whose origins date back to the XII C. Then to Lisbon. Arrival in the Portuguese capital and accommodation.

From 1 April 2025, the visit to Cáceres will be replaced by a visit to Mérida, a World Heritage city. Mérida, the capital of Extremadura, stands out for its rich historical heritage, including its well-preserved Roman ruins: the theatre, the amphitheatre, the Roman bridge...
